Grateful is the Core of Happiness (The Blue Zones)


i just watched Oprah, and i have to write this down. dalam setiap kejadian ada pengajarannya, so lets see....

The Blue* Zones adalah satu kajian dan terbitan oleh Dan Buettner*. kajian mengenai longevity, basically hari ini,i'll try to summarize some diets and secrets of longevity.


Nicoya Peninsular, Costa Rica
1. Hard natural water that contain a lot of calcium.
(hard water tu macam air yang tidak halusss, tidak di tapis. tapi mind u mereka dok kat kawasan atas bukit di dalam pedalaman yang tak ada pencemaran, janganla pulak terus pi minum air sungai berdekatan ye..)
2.They have no electricity. everyday kena grind jagung untuk buat tortilla.
(by batu tu ye, in a way mereka bersenam everytime before makan)
3. Family ties.
(elders live with family peacefully, they wont have to worry about gadgets like us or branded handbag like me, yes shallow me ;p minus the stress for them)


Sardinia, Italy.
1. like the name, eat sardines! hehehe
(ok not funny ;p)
2. Minum susu kambing for healthier heart.
(sedap ke ek? i am afraid of processed goat milk sbb still, its a processed food!)
3. Eat vegetarian based food and daging as a side dish bukan main dish.
4. Active berjalan2.


Loma Linda, California.
1. Vegetrian diet (again!)
2. Active contohnya tending the garden (again!)
3. Do not believe in retirement.
(meaning they seek happiness in job and ada purpose dalam sehari-hari)
4. They believe in giving back.
5. the most important lesson ialah....

TAWAKKAL!

mereka percaya mereka tak perlu risau kerana tuhan ada, tuhan will take care of them no matter what life throws at them. amazing.. itulah konsep yang dari dulu sampai sekarang pakngah suruh aku pegang.

we worried too much. we live in past and future, rarely now.

Okinawa, Japan
1. mereka percaya konsep 'Ikigai' - something important one lives for'
( it may take some times tapi it can be as simple as breakfast. sesuatu to look forward to.)
2. diet consist of vegetable and fish (again!!)
3. they recite "Hara hachi bu" before they eat.
(macam satu reminder as to stop eating when they 80% full. stop 30 mins see whether lapar lagi or tidak. - this one perlu ada teman yang membantu;p)

4. one more thing. kalau duduk kat tempat cantik cenggini, hilangggg stress... kan?




the reason aku blog pasal ini not to say that we should change our diet 100% (eventho itu yang terbaik kan? ;p) tetapi kalau setiap kali kita buat pilihan untuk beli sesuatu, kita berhenti dan berfikir, itu pun sudah baik :) mari berusaha!



p/s: all pictures googled and i am going to get 'it' tonight!!! yayyyy!! kurusness mantapness here i come ;p please excuse keterujaan ini ;p
